TIER 2 CHEMICAL REPORTING PROGRAM

Facilities in Fort Bend County that store flammable or toxic chemicals above certain quantities must submit an annual Tier 2 Chemical Inventory Report to their local fire department, the Fort Bend County LEPC, and State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) by March 1st of each year.

In Texas, the Tier 2 Chemical Reporting Program is administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) which requires facilities to submit their reports electronically using the Tier2 Submit software.

Facilities should click on the Tier2 Submit icon to obtain more information and instructions about the Tier2 Submit software, download the current Texas Facility Submission Guide, and obtain a Filing Fee Payment Form that must be submitted by March 1st. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download these documents, but you can obtain a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader by clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" icon below. Questions? Fort Bend County LEPC also requires Tier 2 reports to be submitted electronically using the Tier 2 Submit software. The software can produce a compressed ZIP file containing all of the Tier 2 report's documents. No printed copies of the Tier 2 report will be accepted. Facilities should email their Tier 2 report as a ZIP file to April Redix, Administrative Manager with the Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management. Please include [fbczipfile] in the Subject line of your email.
